City Council meeting

Avon City Council will meet next Monday at 7:30 p.m. in Council chambers for a work session. The meeting will be held at Avon City Hall, corner of Chester and Center roads.

Parent-teacher conferences

Parent-Teacher conferences will be Tuesday, Nov. 2, and Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Avon Village Elementary School; and Wednesday, Nov. 3, and Thursday, Nov. 4 at Avon East Elementary School. Parents will be notified.

School concerts scheduled

The Fall Choral Concert will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Avon High School auditorium, and the Indoor Marching Band Concert will be held Thursday in Avon High School, starting at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Band tag fund-raiser

A city-wide tag fund-raiser will be held in support of the Avon High School Band on Saturday, Nov. 6, and band students will be visiting neighborhood asking for donations. Proceeds will be used to support of band expenses.

Autumn Rebels luncheon

Autumn Rebels will meet Tuesday, Nov. 9, for a noon catered luncheon in The Barn, 37711 Detroit Road. Charlene Firestone will present a musical program. Reservations for the $5.75 luncheon can be made by calling Sis Wernert, 934-4445, at least three days prior to the meeting.
