Christmas Candlelight weekend
There will be three days to enjoy the event: From 7 to 10 p.m. on Dec. 1, From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 2 and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 3.
Craft shows and gift boutiques bursting with beautiful antiques will make it hard to go home empty-handed.
There will be caroling and Lolley the Trolley will provide shuttle transportation.

Santa at the Old Town Hall
Saturday, Dec. 2, there will be the lighting of the Christmas tree by Santa Claus at 6 p.m. in front of the Gazebo at Heritage Square.
At 6:30 p.m., Santa will be at the Old Town Hall, Stoney Ridge and Detroit roads, where the Avon Historical Society will serve hot chocolate and the Avon Lions Club will distribute candy. The Avon High School Concert Choir will provide holiday music. This event is also sponsored by the French Creek Development Association.
Small business seminars
The final two small business seminars will be held at the Avon Branch Library today at 7 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. Preregistration is necessary and can be made by calling 934-4743.
Church's craft show
St. Mary Church of the Immaculate Conception will have a Christmas Craft Nook in the church hall, 2640 Stoney Ridge Road, Saturday, Dec. 2 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $1.
'Christmas in The Barn'
Christmas In The Barn will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Avon United Methodist Church. There is no admission fee. Christmas cookies, a hot lunch and dinner items will be available.
Band Boosters breakfast
Avon Band Boosters will hold a pancake breakfast Sunday, Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Avon High School cafeteria. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children 5 and under are free. There will also be entertainment by the Avon Middle School and high school jazz bands.

Tomorrow: Mini corn dogs, tater tots, apricot crisp, cold milk
Monday: Chicken patty sandwich, glazed carrots, applesauce, cold milk
Tuesday: Macaroni and cheese, green beans, cinnamon pears, cold milk
Wednesday: Sausage pizza, tossed salad, orange smiles, cold milk
Thursday: Scot meat taco with shredded lettuce and tomato, fruity cocktail, cold milk
Avon Middle and High schools:
Tomorrow: Corn dogs or fried chicken wrap, tater tots, apricot crisp, cold milk
Monday: Chicken patty sandwich or turkey bacon club, glazed carrots, applesauce, cold milk
Tuesday: Macaroni and cheese, green beans, or chef salad and roll, cinnamon pears, cold milk
Wednesday: Sausage pizza or lasagna with breadstick, tossed salad, orange smiles, cold milk
Thursday: Soft taco or Steakum on a bun with shredded lettuce and tomato, blueberry cobbler, cold milk
