Norton S. Townshend, M.D., offers his services
Dr, Townshend returned to Avon in 1841 to begin his practice.
After receiving his M.D. degree in 1840, he continued
his studies in Europe. He went first to Paris, then
to Edinburgh, Scotland, to study at the Edinburgh Medical School.
