Construction Notes by Richard L. Carlisle
Development Manager, First Interstate Development Company
March 7, 2000
Since our last update, we have continued to have favorable
conditions for the installation of sanitary and storm
sewers, as well as the distribution of water lines.
With the recent warmer and dryer temperatures, we have even
been able to complete some excavation activity last week [3-10-00].
From the attached aerial photograph, it is clear that a
great deal of work has been progressing, including:
- 1. Approximately 85% of the main sanitary trunk sewer line
and laterals have been installed.
- 2. Approximately 85% of the storm sewer work has been
completed. We are currently working through the last
stretch of storm sewer in an area where we have encountered
extremely hard sandstone. 20
- 3. Water lines have been installed south along Middleton
Road to just north of Detroit Road and have been extended
up to the Target site and we are in the process of
extending the water line around the Target pad.
- 4. Construction crews from the electric utility will be
on site this week to commence the installation of poles
and equipment necessary for our primary electric service.
Due to the generally favorable weather conditions and all
of the efforts of our site contractor, R.J. Gilgenbach
Company, progress on the site work continues to be
excellent and meets or exceeds our projected schedule.
