April 27, 1999

May 1st 1999 Fall Registration from 9:00 to 2:00 p.m. and Tuesday May 4th, 1999 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 p.m. This will be the only registration for fall soccer.

March 11, 1999

Earlybird registration is over and we have 125 additional players for spring soccer. We have added 4 more Division 7 teams and two Division 6 teams. Practice starts on April 12 when we get back from Easter break. Coaches will call you later this month.

February 10, 1999

Caro Community Schools has approved Varsity Soccer at Caro Schools. If you want to learn soccer and be ready for Fall 99 signup with us this spring.

February 2, 1999

Registration will be on Wed, Feb 24 from 6:00 to 9:00pm and Sat, Feb 27 from 9:00 to 12:00 Noon at the fieldhouse at the soccer complex on M-81
Don't forget the annual meeting at the Brentwood on Feb 10, 199 at 7:00 pm

October 29, 1998

We are having talks at this time with the Superintendent of Caro Schools to include Soccer into the Caro High School sports program. As more information becomes available we will post it.

Sept 30, 1998

We completed our PIZZA sale in the amount of $19,000.00 adding about $6600.00 to our construction budget to build our approach to the M-81 project. The William and Ruth Jank's Foundation made a $15,000.00 donation to purchase our sprinkler system. with the balance for the money for our approach project. We still need to raise about $10,000.00 to complete the project.

Sept 4, 1998

The Caro Rotary Club made a major donation to our Building Fund. These monies will be applied to the purchase of a flag pole

Aug 28, 1998

Back again for the Fall 98 season. Practice will start Monday Aug 31, 1998. Your coach will call you soon. Coaches meeting Thursday Aug 27 at 6:00 pm at the club house. March 3, 1998

Spring is in the air, let's play soccer. The new Clubhouse is almost ready due to the hard work of the Tuscola Tech Centers Construction Technology Class. All we have to do is finish the bathrooms, we should be ready for spring season.

We will be holding our first Annual Meeting on April 1, 1998 at the Clubhouse for the selection of the new board of directors. We still have to fill the following positions: Assistant Regional Commissioner, Child Advocate, Schedular, Fields Manager, and VIP Coordinator.

We will hold our end of the year Awards Pic-nic on June 13, 1998 with lots of festivities.

On March 7 we are holding a beggining referee and lines person training session. Any youth 12 and over, and any adult is welcome to attend. The March 7th meeting will be at the Brendwood at 8AM. The March 14 meeting is for the advanced referees., and on MArch 21 there will be a coaches meeting for NEW and Old coaches.

January 17, 1998

Our second registration (1998/99) held to day, has added 55 more players to our club. We also received 20 more players for SPRING 1998 soccer. Deadline for mailin SPRING 1998 registration is February 28, 1998.

December 14

We are planning Fall 1998 registration January or February 1998 at the new clubhouse on M-81. We will check at that time and see how many Fall 97 players will return for Spring 98 soccer. Registered players for Fall 97 that have PAID can play in SPRING 98. At the EARLYBIRD registration we will develop a waiting list for NEW Spring 98 players. As spaces become available on teams we will contact the new players. Any adult interested in Coaching or being a referee please contact Hank Mai, Wayne Sayers, or Pat Lewtschanyn. The Tuscola Technology Construction Trades students have constructed the Fieldhouse at the new Soccer Complex on M-81. The Fieldhouse is 24' x 40' annd will be used for meetings, and coaches and referee training. Coaches will be able to take the kids inside the Fieldhouse for instructional sessions and show video's on soccer to prepare our players better for the game. .

Our Building Fund is still in need of money. SEVENTEEN percent of the players returned their Building Fundraising sheets. The players who participated collected $4015.47 towards our building funds. Great work and many thanks to the kids. It always seems that the same people DO and the same DON'T. A small group of people have carried the load of the CARO AYSO Soccer Club. Without these volunteers our kids would not be playing soccer and have their own fields next spring. Thank you volunteers for your EXTRA help!!!!! Remember---
