"During the early 1900s, hundreds of efficient,
seaworthy small boats were
used for salmon fishing in the tide rips and chop at Point
Defiance,
Washington. Our modified version of this classic small craft has
more beam
and a broader transom than the original, which furnishes
increased
weight-carrying capacity and stability.
The Point Defiance offers tremendous versatility; it can be rowed
either
tandem or solo, is a delight to sail, and can easily accept an
outboard
motor to make an excellent fishing boat. "
Gently used, one season only. I ordered this tender new from the factory in Gig Harbor without any wood or maintenance-intensive trim. Only sailed once - a pleasure to handle, a pleasure to row.
Includes: Mainsail, Jib, spars, lines, rudder, daggerboard, daggerboard blank to plug trunk, two sets oars, also has brackets for attaching to transom platform of yacht. This boat cost more than 4500.00 custom-built with all the extras.
I've been saving it, planning to get another boat, or at least a trailer to haul it, but I don't have the time or interest. It's in my backyard and I just mow around it. Located on Vashon Island. I can take digital photos for interested persons.
