Before you begin

The very first thing you should know before entering this chat is it is JAVA based. That means that both your browser and operating system need to support JAVA. Such browsers include Netscape 2.0 and above, as well as Internet Explorer 3.0 and higher. In addition, you must use a 32 bit or higher operating system (such as Windows 95/98, Windows NT or any of the MacOS's).

The second thing you need to know, once you have determined you meet the minimum requirements, is that you must choose a unique (that is unique to the XOOM Network that I am using to host the chat) Nick Name that contains no spaces or non alpha-numeric characters. In other words, if you choose 'John' as your nickname, chances are it will already be in use. You may also, optionally, enter your real name and e-mail address. Finally, enter in a password (which may be what ever you wish) and press Connect.

My Nick Name is 'Cthawk'. And, while it is not necessary, I would suggest using the same name and password to speed up the login process and allow the other chatter to quickly identify you.

Schedule and Topics

As of right now, there are no regularly scheduled chats. However, it is my hope that eventually some sort of a schedule can be worked out. If a regular schedule is created, it will be posted here.

Until then, feel free to stop in any time and see if anyone is chatting. Or, if you have any suggestions for chat topics, or you would like to attempt to schedule a chat, please e-mail me with any details (such as time, date and topic) and I will attempt to be in the room, with others who may be interested or able to offer insight into the topic.
