"Go Jackets, Go"

The cheerleaders of Kinder High School dedicate themselves and their services to enthusiasm and school spirit at all athletic events. A Kinder cheerleader will faithfully attend and support all functions of the squad and all assigned obligations, sacrificing time and pleasure in carrying out the objectives of the squad. This will be her/his major out-of-class activity. Jobs or social events are not considered valid reasons for missing any cheerleader function.

Over the summer, the cheerleaders attended an NCA camp at Northwestern State University. The camp was four days long. They were taught cheers, chants, stunts and dances. The girls performed these cheers and chants in front of judges and received superior ratings. The squad was named one of the top ten squads at camp and got a bid to cheer at the nationals in Dallas, TX. Because the squad was so spirited, they received the spirit stick everyday and also came home with one. Although there were long days and late night practices, they still had time to goof off and make many new friends.

Every Friday of a home football game the cheerleaders put on a pep rally to get everyone pumped up and ready for the game. They select students and/or faculty to take part in a skit made up by the cheerleaders. There is also a spirit stick contest where the classes compete against each other to see just who is the most spirited class at Kinder High School.

The cheerleaders cheer at every football and basketball game. They get the crowd involved by showing their enthusiasm and "Jacket Spirit!"
