Position Summary:
This position achieves annual e-commerce, web hosting,
and web design sales goals by serving as a sales consultant to communities
of small to medium size businesses. The candidate in this position engages
in analyzing client needs and offering personalized web solutions that
helps these companies achieve success online. This position gauges the
ongoing needs of small business customers and offers solutions as they
relate to e-commerce and web design product offerings.
Qualifications Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent sales or Internet experience.
- Previous people and problem solving skills
- Thorough knowledge of the Internet.
- Ability to exceed demanding sales goals in a challenging and very fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent documentation, design and layout skills.
- Able to understand technical product features and positioning.
- Highly creative, motivated and organized individual who has the ability to prospect and build long-lasting business relationships.
- Ability to understand customer's business needs and present solutions.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.

Qualifications Preferred:
- Some experience in technical sales.
- Knowledge of current and developing communications products and services.
- Knowledge of Internet, Web/E-commerce technology (hands-on experience).
- Proven success in managing a complex sales cycle.
- Ability to close sales in short periods of time.
- Masters degree or graduate work.
Responsibilities:
- Achieves annual e-commerce, web hosting, and web design goals.
- Understanding and documenting solutions to customer needs using the company Web Application Module (WAM) and E-commerce solutions.
- Assist with customers' design and layout planning to maximize the use of value-added Web Application Modules (WAM).
- Creates and delivers presentations to small to medium sized companies and consultants using the Web, written, oral, and other computer based tools.
- Analyzes and evaluates customers existing Web site. Determines the applicable changes or improvements needed using Web Application Module (WAM), E-commerce and Internet solutions.
- Coordinates the efforts of the sale in relation to customer's expectation, and timelines with the Web Coordinator. Ensures that the customer's needs are being anticipated and met.
- Provides follow-up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and continued development of Web site.
- Use the appropriate skills and resources to leverage long-term, solutions-oriented relationships that result in the sale of CenturyTel products and services.
- Maintaining and growing defined revenue stream for his or her sales territory.
- Monitors competitive activity and provides feedback to the division sales manager.
- Initiates contacts with new or potential customers. Actively develops leads through community events, professional organizations, and personal contacts.
Physical Demands:
Sitting, seeing, hearing, speaking, writing, reading, lifting up to 30 lbs.,
frequent overtime as necessary, traveling on a limited basis, and regular
attendance at work.

The Webmaster is responsible for the implementation and administration of
CenturyTel commercial customer Web sites. In this role the Webmaster will
interface with the Web coordinator in reference to the layout, pages

problem solving is required, along with the ability to prioritize an
ever-changing workload.
The economic impact of this job to CenturyTel can
be substantial. Failure to perform at acceptable levels may result in
significant loss of revenue for CenturyTel and substantial legal liabilities.
