Programs

Listed here are just a few of the ministries and programs available for your participation and enjoyment.

United Methodist Women
Cherokee Village United Methodist Women are the largest organized UMW unit in the Batesville District. Composed of ten circles, our UMW provide valuable ministry to our church, the community and the world. The full unit meeting is on the first Tuesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. Interested ladies are invited to attend.

United Methodist Men
The Cherokee Village United Methodist Men provide many aspects of church and community leadership. The UMM is the official sponsor of the Boy Scout program in our area and strives to create an environment of fellowship through organized social events. Our UMM business meeting is held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. and is often accompanied by a guest speaker and / or presentation. All United Methodist Men and interested guests are welcome to attend.

United Methodist Youth
Cherokee Village United Methodist Youth have been known for providing vital youth programs for many years and have a lot of fun along the way. The UMY are active in mission contributions through time and financial support. Our youth take on the realities of a complex world and represent a strong positive voice for the world to hear. UMY continues to provide District and Conference leadership and invite interested youth to come and experience the fellowship any Sunday afternoon at 3:00 until 5:00 p.m.

United Methodist Elementary
Our elementary students, 3rd through 6th grade, meet each Sunday for a variety of activities. These activities are designed for the children and sometimes include: Bible Study, arts and crafts, or music. Come and join in the fun and refreshments from 3:00 until 4:30 p.m.

Other Opportunities for Ministry throughout the Week.

Handbell Choir
We have a wonderful handbell choir that provides inspirational music for our Worship Services as well as other ministries and activities in the community. Interested individuals should contact the church office and practice is at 8:15 a.m. each Thursday.

Chancel Choir
Our Chancel Choir is known throughout the area as one of the finest. Practice is each Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. and if you enjoy singing, our choir would be a great place to get involved.

Liturgical Bible Study
For the past four years we have had an ongoing Bible Study each Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m. that averages about 30 people. We study the verses, learning about the history of the times and addressing the facts as they relate to the scriptures that will be used the following Sunday. All are welcome to attend.

Discipleship Bible Study
Discipleship Bible Study is offered each year and is a 34 week intensive course. If Bible Study is one of your loves - this may provide an opportunity for you and others to grow.
