• -- Hill Country: Drive west from the downtown square (on Hopkins Street) to RR 12 for a total of 7.4 miles to CR 214, (Hugo Road).

  Turn left, follow CR 214 to end at Purgatory Road, seeing small creeks and ponds on the way. Possible ducks, an occasional Neo-tropic Cormorant, and Eastern Phoebes, White-eyed Vireos, Eastern Bluebirds, Summer Tanagers, Scrub Jays, Lark Sparrows, Rufous-Sided Towhees, Harris' Sparrows. Wood Ducks seen in the fall.

  Turn right at Purgatory Road to RR 12.
