Associated Society/Animal Protection (A.S./A.P.) is a non-profit corporation formed by volunteers for the express purpose of rescuing animals in physical or mental distress.
When deciding to take any animal into your home, you are making a commitment! Be sure that is what you are willing to do, possibly for the next 10 to 15 years. Prior to adopting an A.S./A.P. cat or kitten, be sure you read the A.S./A.P. contract and agree to its terms. Be aware we do enforce the contract when necessary.
When sheltering a cat or kitten, A.S./A.P. does its best to ensure any physical or mental problems have been taken care of prior to the animal's being placed for adoption. Be aware, however, that these animals are rescues, not animals in their prime condition, and may have some continuing problems. If within ten (10) days of the adoption a licensed veterinarian discovers the cat or kitten has a contagious disease which was contracted while the animal was under our care, A.S./A.P. will pay for the medication to treat that animal only. Any other expenses are up to you as a responsible pet owner and as stated in the Adoption Contract. Take a copy of the Adoption Contract to your veterinarian for identification purposes.
Remember, if the majority of these animals had come from good animal-educated homes or had excellent care, they would not be A.S./A.P. rescues in the first place! If you do decide to adopt, Bless You for giving a very needy animal an excellent home.
