CHOIR
7th & 8th Grade
We had a great year in choir class, filled with singing and learning about music. Congratulations, 7th graders, on learning how to read music, sing solfege, understand key signatures and other musical terms and techniques, and sing 3 part harmony. You guys can sing!!
The Eighth grade choir has grown into a group of fine musicians. You all did a wonderful job performing at the WSMA large group contest, receiving a 1st rating, and I was very proud of your performances at the concerts this year. Thank you for a great year, filled with singing and learning about music.
I will be giving voice lessons this summer, beginning the week of June 20th and going through the middle of August. If anyone is interested, there are informational sheets in the office or you can call me at home (I’m in the book.) Lessons will be given at school for $10/half hour.
Best wishes and blessing to everyone for a relaxing and fun-filled summer. Thank you students (and the parents) for a year filled with great music, learning and fun. Keep Singing!
Honors Choir
Honor Choir was new to Aquinas Middle School this year, and I thought all of the members represented our school very well during all of our performances. They took on many new challenges by singing difficult music and even adding choreography to our spring concert.
Honors Choir added beautiful music to our weekly Masses. It was a pleasure making great music with all of them. We will continue another year of Honor Choir, as I am currently holding auditions for next year. Good luck to all applicants during auditions.
